A few nights ago my lady and I went to see City & Colour at the Pabst here in Milwaukee. I bought tickets months ago the minute they went on sale…literally.
I’ve been a fan of Dallas Green since his last band, Alexisonfire. (If you’ve never heard of them, check out the song “This Could Be Anywhere In The World” on the album “Crisis”.) He has such a distinct, classic voice that I will probably never get sick of hearing. I love that you can put your own meaning behind his lyrics so you can relate to his message a little more.
After the last song he played, the band was called back for an encore. The coolest part of the night was when he announced his last song, “Two Coins”, in which he said was written in the very basement of the Pabst venue we were at.
Check out his new album “The Hurry And The Harm”.
